Practice consecutive interpreting

ESTIMATED INTERPRETING TIME: 25 MINUTES

Notes: You can find the timestamps on the script. Check them if you need to find any specific segment.

After each segment there is a dead air pause, that’s your time to interpret, you don’t need to pause the recording to interpret unless you are recording yourself.

Steps:

1. Listen to each segment, take notes. DO NOT LOOK AT THE SCRIPT while you are listening to interpret.
2. Interpret.
3. Check the segment to see if you were accurate or missed anything.
4. If needed, repeat again. This time record yourself and then listen to your recording while you are reading the script. If not needed, go to step 5.
5. Continue with the next segment
