Step 1: Translate and review medical terminology
Instructions: Translate into your other language the English terms you will see here.
Free resources to find translated terms: Linguee, Word Reference, DeepL, ProZ term search, Merck Manuals (available in Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, and many other languages), bilingual paper dictionaries, and websites from official sources like CDC (Center for Disease Control).
Step 2: Do the following memory exercise.
* Interpreter in the CONSECUTIVE mode
* Take notes of what you listen
* Pause the audio and interpret. Optional: you may record each rendition so you can listen to yourself and assess accuracy.
* Compare your rendition with the script (accuracy, style, delivery, etc.)
* Repeat for each segment
